VOIP

• The software we will be talking about is VOIP
  which stands for Voice-Over-Internet- Protocol.
• VOIP is basically a phone on your computer as it
  enables you to transmit voice data and video to a
  person anywhere at any time.
• This technology gives you all the functions of a
  telephone network in a easier and more portable
  form.
• It is able to be used from anywhere in the world
  through a PC connection.
• The system only requires a few wires and has a
  cheaper up keep cost. It is also more sustainable.

• - This company is a Softphone development
  company.
• -It has been in the VOIP service industry since
  1999.
• -The world leader of VOIP.
• -It won the 2002 award for best product.
• -The software looks like a phone.

Bell

• -It is an Information and Communication
  Technology service provider.
• It was established in 1880.
• -Even though it is an established company it is
  new to the VOIP world.
• -The software looks like a MSN messenger.

SJ VS Bell

• - SJ has been in VOIP longer then Bell.
• -SJ has the option of customization available,
  which Bell does not really offer.
• -SJ is more wide spread and scaleable than Bells
  who only offers P2P.
• - The SJ website provides very helpful
  information.

• Bell does not require you to sign a contract
  which gives you more freedom .
• Bell has higher security measures then SJ.
• Bell guarantees that no errors will occur during
  usage.

Conclusions

• We would recommend implementing VOIP from SJ.
• They have been around longer and are therefore a
  more reliable software.
• The SJ software ability to give you a wide spread
  service area makes it the better available option
  for Petpro.
• It is a cheaper alternative then the current
  technology and will give Petpro a network that is
  easier to maintain giving them a competitive
  advantage. This is why Petpro should implement
  the VOIP from SJ.
