BUILDING CAPACITY of the community to sustain
coverage and utilization

• The Keep Up Programme
• Stengthening community based health interventions
• Hang up campaign phase followed by -
• Periodic household visits by volunteers to
• to ensure proper use of LLINs
• Identify all newborns and newly pregnant women
• ensure that pregnant women get IPT, TT and
  infants have completed vaccination series on time
• Understand need for rapid and effective treatment
  of fever
• distribution of LLINs to households, where
  available, especially HB clients, PLWHA
• Identify defaulters and refer to services as
  needed
• And in addition..
• Conduct community malaria awareness activities
• Work with the district health authorities to
  ensure that treatment and services are available
