development, follicular maturation, luteolysis

Collaborator Tony Plant, Ph.D., Univ. of Pitts. - Meharry Medical College Research studies at this
Center examine the effect of OCPs on leiomyoma
growth, whether metformin vs. placebo combined
with lifestyle interventions improve reproductive
markers in adolescent and adult women with PCOS,
and the impact of racial differences on sex
steroids and their correlation with bone density
and architecture. PI PonJola Coney, M.D.

Univ. - Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and
Science Therapeutic applications of androgens in
normal women, women with hypopituitarism, and
implications for conditions associated with loss
of muscle mass and function as well as brain
sexual differentiation provide several themes for
