  • Menghapus dan melarang diskriminasi terhadap
    perempuan secepatnya.

  • Memberdayakan perempuan agar dapat berpartisipasi
    penuh dan setara dengan laki-laki diranah privat
    maupun publik
  • Memberdayakan aparatur negara -legislatif,
    eksekutis dan yudikatif- maupun masyarakat serta
    menciptakan mekanisme nasional untuk menerapkan
    prinsip-prinsip CEDAW dan melaporkan
    kemajuan-kemajuan yang dicapai secara berkala
    kepada KOMITE CEDAW.

 APA KOMITE CEDAW ITU ?
  • Badan Pengawas dan Pemantau Pelaksanaan Konvensi
    CEDAW oleh Negara-negara Pihak
  • Pengawasan dan Pemantauan dilakukan melalui
    dialog konstruktif dengan Pemerintah
    Negara-negara Pihak Konvensi berdasarkan laporan
    tertulis berkala dari Pemerintah  maupun
    laporan-laporan lainnya dari berbagai sumber.
  • Dorongan dan arahan CEDAW disampaikan antara lain
    melalui Rekomendasi Umum sudah berjumlah 24, 3
    diantaranya khusus bertalian dengan hak-hak
    ekonomi perempuan, yaitu nomor-nomor 13 (1989),
    16 (1991) dan 17 (1991).
