Did you know that it is usually 94 F in the
desert? In the desert there are animals such as
the white sided jackrabbit, rattle snakes,
geckos, and a Gila monster. Some of those are
exciting animals. Some plants you would find in
the desert are cactus, bushes and wamidia.

WOW FACT
Did you know that some deserts are not hot? I
did, it is called the Gobi desert.

Shelter
People in the desert make shelter out of stone
and mud, also the people put up tents. The people
also make some shelter out of sticks, and there
are a couple of caves!

Desert Clothing
In the desert I would wear a turban and loose
clothing that covers my skin. I would do this to
protect myself from sunburn and heat. On my feet
I would wear sandals.

People get around by camels, cars, walking, and
climbing in the desert.

In the desert a good job is mining. You can mine
for gold, oil and diamonds.
