Working in Government
  • This career was never planned. I reached
points in my working life where I felt the need
to change, to learn more and follow the path that
would, at the end of the day, have a greater
impact on patients. SLT training has enabled me
to have confidence in my core theory and therapy
skills as well as clarity in a defined scope of
    practice.

A final word
  • Based on my experience, I would encourage people
entering the job market now to be open-minded
about the direction they want their career to
take, to consider positively the relevance of
past experience or education for their work in
SLT and to enjoy and value their relationships
    with colleagues and clients.
  • Jan Green SLT since 2002 (Mental Health and
    Forensics)
