What is our solar system?
  • Our solar system is the sun and the planets that
    orbit around it.
  • Orbit means to revolve or go around.
  • The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,
    Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

Mercury
  • It is the first planet from the sun.
  • The Romans named it after the swift messenger god.

Venus
  • It is the second planet from the sun.
  • The Romans named it after the goddess of love and
    beauty.

  • It is the third planet from the sun.
  • We live on Earth.
  • It has one satellite, called the moon.
