Overview

• Adds EINs or other IDs from a Master File
  (usually the NCCS Cumulative Master File with 1.8
  mil. records) to another database without EINs.
• Once that is done, the database can be linked
  with any IRS data.
• Stand-alone multi-user desktop application runs
  on any Windows computer.

The Process

• Setup
• Identify key fields (e.g., use ZIP, ZIPCODE, or
  POSTALCODE?)
• Standardize organization names and addresses by
  removing punctuation standardizing
  abbreviations, etc.
• Automate generation of possible matches using
  approximately 10 different matching algorithms
• Different combinations of names, addresses
• Can match Boston YMCA with YMCA of Boston
• Manually verify/accept possible matches, or use
  match confidence level to accept automated
  matches that are most likely to be correct.

Multi-User

• Multiple people can verify records at the same
  time. Project manager can track pace and quality
  of work of each individual.

  List length can be in the hundreds or
  hundreds of thousands.

Manual Verification Screen

• Perfect matches appear in red (name, city
  state match here).
• Best matches appear at top of list of possible
  matches.
• Optimized for FAST work (250 per hour is
  doable).
