• Hannibal had a great childhood because his father
  was the king of Carthage
• At a young age he was taught to hate the Romans
  by his father
• He was always treated well
• He was taught to be a warrior even from the
  beginning
• He did not know he was going to save Carthage
  from Rome

Hannibals Advantage

• Hannibal used war elephants to turn the tides of
  battle
• He also used his great brains to win the crucial
  battles
• He was a very talented war strategist

He had the faith

• Hannibal never lost faith in his abilities during
  his campaign
• He kept his men with faith too
• Nobody thought that Hannibal and his 33,000 men
  and 37 elephants could overcome these obstacles

• It was a capital city
• Carthage had allies with the Spanish and the

• They helped Carthage with the Punic wars
