ATF Mission
  • To raise global awareness on the key role of
    immunization in building healthy societies and
    strengthening health systems--highlighting
    cost-effectiveness
  • To raise global awareness of the growing
    inequities in access to vaccines and the urgent
    need to address them
  • To increase public commitment to immunization,
    including increased use of under-utilized and new
    vaccines and injection safety

  • Advocacy, communications, behavior change -
    rather than development of technical approaches
    per se
  • Within broad terms of injection safety, focus on
    improving injections for immunization

    in the broad sense

  • Health workers - Improve practices to minimize
    risks to selves, patients, communities
