ATF Mission

• To raise global awareness on the key role of
  immunization in building healthy societies and
  strengthening health systems--highlighting
  cost-effectiveness
• To raise global awareness of the growing
  inequities in access to vaccines and the urgent
  need to address them
• To increase public commitment to immunization,
  including increased use of under-utilized and new
  vaccines and injection safety

• Develop and disseminate core messages on GAVI and
  the value of vaccines
• This sub-group will also support the develop of
  key messages and strategies to support the
  introduction of new vaccines

• Oversee the development of press strategies,
  print and broadcast materials on immunization
  issues to support special events

Scope of ATF Injection Safety Subgroup

• Advocacy, communications, behavior change -
  rather than development of technical approaches
  per se
• Within broad terms of injection safety, focus on
  improving injections for immunization

  risks to selves, patients, communities
