• Conducted 8-month LabSun pilot
• 5 MedSun hospitals
• 4 Non-MedSun hospitals
• Received 25 reports 23 very useful
• Inspection of manufacturing facility
• Dear Doctor letter from Becton Dickenson about
  collection tubes

• Research Proposals state that laboratories will
  be included in improvement of reporting studies
• Lab device questions will be added to MedSun
  software

  promotional materials
• Available upon request to speak about device
  safety issues to hospital staff and management

• A variety of backgrounds and organizations,
  including two MedSun representatives
• The group was asked to comment on
• Improving reporting about devices within
  facilities so the reports flow to the MedSun
  representatives
• Targeting surveillance at a particular device or
  place in the facilities
• Disseminating device safety information within
  facilities
