multiple languages and formats. - High level of enquiries through the Care Records
Service Information Helpline. - Patients wanting to talk directly to their GP
about the Summary Care Record in dedicated
appointment slots.
11What Actually Happened(first wave)
- 53,000 patients mailed initially (20 of Bolton
population). - 1035 requests for additional information Care
Record Guarantee and leaflets. - 164 calls to the Information Line.
- 198 local consultations at information sessions.
- 121 patients wanted to opt out 93C3 (0.23).
- No patients wanted to talk to their GP
specifically about the SCR dedicated
appointment slots were not used. - Patients were interested in seeing the Summary
Care Record in action and benefited from a
demonstration at the information sessions.
12What the Patients Said -
- Over 200 patients were asked at the Practices
about the information they had received. - Patients were happy with the information being
provided. - Patients thought that records were already being
shared electronically. - Patients wanted to know why electronic sharing
had not been in place before. - Main area of concern was security.
- Patients were very keen on accessing records
through HealthSpace.
