LASIK is preferred for quick recovery, PRK solves
the problem of a thin cornea.

5
PRK surgery points to know
  • The procedure takes 5-10 minutes for each eye.
The patients are given local anaesthesia or
anaesthetic eye drops in the eyes.
  • The surgeon discards the corneal surface cells of
your eye with a laser, blade or alcohol solution.
Once the cornea is reshaped, a clear contact lens
is placed on each eye as a bandage.
  • It is common to feel pain or discomfort after
    Photorefractive Keratectomy Surgery in Ahmedabad.
Eyes may also feel irritated or watery. Often
patients complain of light sensitivity during
their healing procedure. However, corneal haze,
halos or bursts of light for weeks are common
among patients recovering after the procedure.
