Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is popularly known
as Indias Iron Man or the Bismarck of India,
played a leading role in the achievement of
independence of India and the integration of the
562 princely states into India.

He is most renowned for his leadership in the
integration of over 562 princely states into the
dominion of India as a deputy prime minister and
a home minister. We shared a short Sardar Patel
biography and his great contribution to this
blog. SARDAR VALLABH BHAI PATELS LIFE Sardar
Vallabh Bhai Patel was born on October 31, 1875,
at Nadiad in the Kheda district (Gujarat). He was
the third son of Vallabha and Jhabubba Patel and
had three sisters. He received his primary
education in his native village, and after that,
he joined the school in Petlad. He was admitted
to the Wilson High School in Ahmedabad and passed
Class 8 in 1891. In 1892, he was enrolled in the
Gujarat College. He studied law and passed his
final examination in 1897. He started his
practice in Ahmedabad in 1898. Sardar Vallabh
Bhai Pate was a freedom fighter, statesman,
Indias first deputy prime minister and home
minister. He was instrumental in getting 500
princely states to sign on to the Indian Union
after independence. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
received the highest civilian award in India, the
Bharat Ratna, in 1991. India awarded him the
Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1991 for his
services to the nation. He was also honoured with
Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the highest sporting
honour in the country, for his contribution to
the field of sports and a Padma Vibhushan in
1991.

strength of his character and the forcefulness of
his actions made him one of the most admired and
controversial political figures in all of Indias
history. HOW WAS SARDAR PATEL AS THE DEPUTY PRIME
MINISTER OF INDIA AND LATER HOME MINISTER? Sardar
Patel was one of the most inspirational
personalities of India. He was a Deputy prime
minister of the Indian government and later Home
Minister. He brought the princely states of India
under the control of the central government of
India and unified the country. Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel was a true leader and visionary. He was a
man of action who did not hesitate to take tough
decisions to better the people and country. He is
also famously known as the man who united
India. Sardar Patel was a freedom fighter who
played a vital role in Indias freedom struggle.
He was a staunch nationalist who had an
unwavering faith in the unity of
India. CONCLUSION Sardar Patel is considered one
of the heroes of India, being a leading figure in
the countrys struggle for independence. He was
the Deputy Prime Minister of the Indian
government and later Home Minister. One of his
most notable accomplishments was integrating over
500 princely states into India. He is also known
for his work towards constructing the Sardar
Sarovar Dam. Also, the Statue of Unity India is a
monument dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,
the giant statue in the world. This is the
worlds tallest statue of a single person, built
as a memorial to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,
Indias First Deputy Prime Minister.
