Are you a part of the Glass Age?

At Satkartar Glass solution, we are known to deal
in string quality glass products ranging from
glass balconies to modular glass partition in
delhi ncr. Being in the industry for over five
decades now, we have seen the complete evolution
of the glass age and the innovations driving the
same. Just like the evolving glass age, we have
also evolved in terms of our products and
customer service using innovation as the tool.
Over many centuries, we humans have lived across
various ages such as the stone age, the bronze
age, iron age.
3
Following these came the steam age, industrial
age, atomic age, the television age, space-age to
name a few. And now, knowingly or unknowingly we
all are a part of the glass age. Can you imagine
just one day without glass and its byproducts?
No? it would be next to impossible. Yes, thats
the importance of glass in our lives in todays
world.

Glass is an extraordinary substance. Without it,
a majority of great achievements would never have
happened. It has a deep and complex history and
as material, it has properties and
characteristics that we are learning and
developing a new phase from. Most of us assume
glass is a fragile brittle thing which if not
handled correctly can break into spectacular
fashion. And its true, our everyday common
variety of glass is brittle. But, thats not the
only way glass exists. Glass is already altered
in multi-dimensions and is behaving in ways
beyond humans could ever have thought.

Innovations of Glass Age-
Optical Fiber-
This amazing innovation does two things first one
is peer glass, which says that you can wind a
glass strand tightly around an object without its
breakage. The second most amazing thing about
this invention is even after the bending of the
glass strand the light comes out without any loss
in quality and quantity from the other end. So,
it has low attenuation. This innovation of the
glass age gave birth to huge broadband networks
over long distances at low cost and caused a
revolution in communication and information
technology.

Innovations of Glass Age-
Flexible Glass-
As it has been mentioned when it comes to glass
most of us develop an image of brittle, solid
substance. However, with the onset of the glass
age, a completely different form of glass was
introduced named Flexible glass. This unlike the
normal glass would not bend or break and hence
had varied applications.
8
Innovations of Glass Age-
Gorilla Glass-
These kinds of glasses are mostly found on small
screens such as mobile phones, laptops, ipads
etc. They are designed using the durable property
of the glass. They are very strong and
unbreakable unless you are trying hard to break
them on purpose. The purpose of installing them
on the small screen is so that they can provide a
shield to the real screen which is not as strong
as the gorilla glass.
