The CBSE has finalized its all new OMR (optical
mark recognition) sheets for its Term-1 exams
that will consist of multiple choice questions.
For the first time, the answer sheets will be
evaluated on the same day as the exams. The
exams, each 90 minutes long, will start from
November 16. A record 3.6 Million of class 10
and 12 students will be taking the exams this
year. OMR sheets for its Term-1 exams that will
consist of multiple choice questions. For the
first time, the answer sheets will be evaluated
on the same day as the exams. Each paper in the
Term 1 exams will have a maximum of 60 questions.
Students have to mark their answers on the OMR
sheets only with pens.
3- OMR Demystified by Providing Following Information
- Candidates has to write a Question paper Code in
upper right corner in the space providd for the
same. - Cadidate has to write in his/her own hand in the
provided space I confirm that all particular
given above are corrrect and sign in the running
hand on OMR. - Only Blue / Black ball point pen is to be used
for filling desired information and for giving
reponses. - Use of pencil is striclty probhited. If it is
found that the candidate has used the pencil for
filling the OMR, this will be considered as use
of unfair means and action will be taken against
the candidate as per unfair means rules.

5Important Point For Filling OMR Sheet
- Each paper in the Term 1 exams will have a
maximum of 60 questions. Students have to mark
their answers on the OMR sheets only with pens.
The candidate can use the box to mention which
they feel is the correct answer in case they
think its different from the response recorded
in the oval space (a, b, c or d),. - For giving a response, 4 circles i.e. a,b,c,d
are given in the front of each question in a row.
Candidates once confident about the correctness
of reply should darken the circle with a pen. - Candidate are advised that first of all they
should mark the response by darkening the circle.
If fully satisfied then they should write a
response in a box. Purpose of giving a box is
only that if they any candidate wishes to change
the response, the same be written in the box.
6Important Point For Filling OMR Sheet
- Even if a candidate satisfied with darkening the
circle, this response has to be written in the
box. Candidates have to reply both in a circle
and in a box. - Reply written in the box will be treated as
final. - If the box is empty and the response is marked
in the circle, it will be considered that the
question has not been attempted by the candidate.
- If the response is given in a box and the circle
is left blank, it will be considered that the
question has been attempted by the candidate. - If all the three i.e. 4 circles, box and last
circle are left blank, it will be considered that
question has not been attempted.
