  3. Report Electrical Hazards
  4. ?Candle Fires
  5. Maximum Building Security
  6. ?Proper Waste Disposal
  7. Fully Charged Fire Extinguishers

4
1.Inspect heating sources
  • ?Heat can be generated in workplaces as well as
home, so it should be controlled and kept away
    from fuel.

5
2.Smoking Fires
  • Fix an area particularly for smoking, and put
    no-smoking signs at other locations
  • Ensure the smoking areas are away from flammable
    materials
  • Arrange for cigarettes and matches to be disposed
of safely and away from other combustible rubbish

3.Report Electrical Hazards
  • Inspect for the defective electrical equipment
    and remove appropriately
  • Ensure electrical cords are in reliable condition
  • Plug appliances and lights into separate
    electrical outlets
  • Avoid using extension cords. If you require an
outlet in an area where there is none, have one
    installed by a qualified electrician?

7
4.Candle Fires
  • Never drop candles unattended and always keep
them away from flammable items like blankets and
    curtains!

8
5.Maximum Building Security
  • Test your fire alarm monitoring systems
  • Putting safety measures in place at your
house/workplace can be lifesaving. Install a
    smoke alarm if necessary??

9
6.Proper Waste Disposal
?
  • Avoid collections of combustible rubbish and
waste and remove at least daily and store away
    from the building
  • Keep your workplace as neat as possible and
ensure equipment and other materials are properly
    stored??

10
7.Fully Charged Fire Extinguishers
  • In the event of a fire, try using a fire
extinguisher to put out the flames. Having easy
access to a fire extinguisher can significantly
reduce the chance a fire spreads in your home.
Consider putting a fire extinguisher in the
kitchen(while considering home) and anywhere else
you could easily access it, also near high-risk
    areas like a fireplace
