1
2 Months Preparation Strategy for CBSE Class
10 Pre Board
Class 10 is one of the busiest years of your
academic life. It is not like any other year,
and you can tell the difference right from the
start. This is the year of Board exam. And,
appearing for the Board exam for the first time
can be a nerve-cracking experience for
many students. And, thats why we have
pre-boards. Pre-boards are like the dress-
rehearsal before a grand act. To deliver a
phenomenal performance, you must take this
rehearsal seriously.
You have just two months before your CBSE Class
10 pre-boards, and by now, and most
of you should have a sound preparation strategy
in place. In case you dont have one
yet, we are here to guide you. Refer to the tips
and tricks given below to shape up your
strategy for CBSE Class 10 pre-boards. You may
also refer to them to fine tune your
existing exam strategy.
Preparation strategy for CBSE class 10 pre-board
Month 1
Start now - To reach somewhere, the first
important step is to begin. You may have been
studying theClass 10 syllabus since April this
year, but right now, its time to gear up with
2
renewed vigor for the CBSE Class 10 pre-board
exams. Like we said on the onset, it will
not be the same as the other end-of-term exams.
And, that means, you will have to
double your efforts.
Plan it out - No one goes to battle without a
strategy, and similarly, you cant tackle your
pre-boards without a proper daily, monthly and
weekly study plan. While shaping up
your preparation strategy for Class 10 CBSE
pre-boards, you must set specific targets.
And, you must allocate time in a way so that you
can meet your study targets.
Set specific and achievable targets - Let not
your targets be like, cover Maths syllabus over
today and tomorrow. This way, the two months
before the pre-boards will pass by, and
you will still find yourself unprepared. Instead,
break it down. Your preparation strategy
for CBSE pre-board should consist of specific
targets like Finish Polynomials and
Quadratic Equations in the morning. In the
evening, read a portion of India and the
Contemporary World and practice English grammar.
And, browse through important
Maths formulae before going to sleep.
Pair subjects wisely - Doing all theory subjects
together can be taxing for your memory.
You may not retain so much information, and it
may get monotonous. To keep it
interesting, pair one theory subject with one
practical subject. This way, you will be able
to cover more syllabus in less time because. And,
remember to take small but frequent
breaks between study sessions to prevent
over-exertion.
Fall back on NCERT textbooks - With just 2 months
to go to before CBSE Class 10 pre-
board exams, the last thing that you should be
doing is textbook hopping. Referring to
multiple textbooks for one subject can make your
brain go fuzzy, and leave you utterly
confused. The best preparation strategy would be
to fall back on NCERT textbooks
prescribed by CBSE and study them end to end.

Month 2
Kickstart the revision process - Can you feel the
pressure mounting? Until now, you had
two months in hand, and suddenly a month has
passed by. By now, you should be done
with most of your syllabus, so initiate the
revision process.
Solve sample papers - And, what better way to
carry out revisions than solving sample
papers? Sample papers are an inevitable part of
CBSE Class 10 pre-board preparation
strategy. Solving sample paper is the best way to
pick up speed and accuracy while
answering questions.
3
Identify your strong and weak zones - If you have
been closely following the preparation
strategy for CBSE pre-board exam, by now, you
should be able to identify your strong
and weak zones in every subject. Strengthen and
polish your strong zone. As far as you
weak zone is concerned, try to get a grasp on the
basic concepts at least. Most
importantly, dont start with a brand new topic
just a few days before the exam.
Eat right, sleep tight - Erratic food and sleep
habits can take a toll on your health. And,
you surely dont want to fall sick before the
exam. So, make healthy eating and sleeping
on time, a part of your preparation strategy for
Class 10 CBSE pre-board exam. With
especially a month left before the exam, you may
feel it necessary to study late into the
night and then wake up early to study again. But,
getting inadequate sleep will only
make you fall sick it will not add to your exam
preparation in any way.
