Eugene Daniels is a multi-disciplinary designer
based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since 2008, he is
successfully running and managing his design and
consultation practice, Studio D in Halifax. He
works and collaborates with a team of architects,
engineers, artists, contractors and manufacturers
to produce the best design team for his clients.
Some of his recent projects are Halifax Grammar
School, Paper Chase Café, Cunard Street Childrens
Center and conceptual design proposals for the
Halifax Seawall Immigration Annex.

Eugene Daniels has also served as a consultant
to United Gulf Developments (Sisters of Charity,
Mother House). As a researcher, he has developed
affordable and functional shelters known as
eHomes. The goal of his ehomes is to provide
shelter to the victims of natural disaster and
mobile Data CAVE virtual imaging environments.
Nurturing the feeling of permanence, these
shelters are designed to keep the occupants safe
and secure.

Eugene Daniels has also worked with researchers
at the CASALA Institute in Dundalk, Ireland to
fabricate and virtually assemble a full-scale, 3D
model of the eHome shelter, while utilizing the
advanced technology found within their Data Cave
virtual environment. This project explores
sustainable habitation and community design, and
more age-friendly technologies for the users.

Eugene Daniels has many affiliations and awards
under his belt. He has served as the
Vice-President of Planning and Design Centre
(PDC) in Halifax, NS and has been a team member
of the National Architectural Accrediting Board
(NAAB). In addition, he is the recipient of
Congressional Art Award for his architectural
design.
