Hazard

• Deffinition
• Anything that has the potential to cause harm
• Hazards take many different shapes.
• While some hazards are fairly easy to spot,
  others are not. For example, stress, exposure to
  noise, or radiation are less obvious than say an
  inconsiderately-placed schoolbag

Types of Hazards

• Physical
• Slips trips and falls are the most common
  injuries in todays classrooms and also work place
  injuries.
• Carelessness or fooling around are also another
  reason injuries occur. For this reason strict
  rules of discipline are followed when students
  openly disobeying rules or engaging in Tom
  Foolery.
• Injury from machinery, equipment, falling
  objects, hot substances or surfaces, ejection of
  material, hand tools, poor housekeeping,
  electricity, fire, injury by another person

• Stress
• bullying, violence, vulnerable people such as new
  or inexperienced workers/students
• Heavy work loads at work or school
• Relationships in school or at home

Working on Line

• What is different from being on line or talking
  in person?
• Follow the same standards of behaviour that are
  acceptable in real life
• Do not bully or post intimidating messages.
• No name calling!
• Your comments could last a life time

• Why are Passwords Important?
• Most websites utilize passwords.
• They ensure that only you can access your
  information.
• Keep your passwords to yourself, If someone finds
  your password they can hi-jack your account.
• Identity theft is a very serious situation that
  could cause you problems for many years.
• Financial/credit problems .
• Embarrassing social problems or situationsie
  posting of personal information, pics or vids.

General Class Rules.

• No food or drink allowed in the class!
• No banging or slamming keyboard or touching
  screens.
• Do not modify any settings or wiring of any
  computers unless given permission by teacher
• This lab is not for Gaming!
• Focus on lesson or the task at hand

General Expectations

• All equipment is handled with respect and handled
  responsibly
• All pieces of equipment are returned to the place
  of storage
• We work as a team the class is not done until all
  stations are clean
• Being engaged in the daily studies, tasks or
  assignments is a must to obtain a credit in this
  course
