  • She gets paid Semi-monthly.
  • She is single.
  • She has no federal allowances and no additional
    federal withholding.
  • She selected No to Round Federal With- holding.
  • She is not exempt from Federal Tax, FICA or
    Medicare.

  • The next section is the Voluntary Deduction
    Section.
  • To begin, Jane selects the number of deductions
    to be taken from her paycheck each payday.

  • Jane enters 1st deduction Medical has70.72
    deducted /check at a fixed amount.
  • Medical is a pre-tax deduction she clicks on
    exempt from Federal Tax and FICA.
  • Jane lists all of her other deductions in the
    same manner as the first
  • Dental PPO FSA Medical (exempt from Federal
    Tax/FICA)
  • 403b (only exempt from Federal Tax)
  • United Way (after-tax)

  • Lets Calculate
  • Once Jane fills in the entire Payroll Calculator
    Form, she clicks on the Calculate Button in the
    lower left of the screen.

  • Getting Results
  • Once she has clicked on the Calculate button, the
    Paycheck Calculator will automatically result in
    a Net Pay total. This is her Take Home pay.
  • The itemization of all her selected options and
    deductions is highlighted on the right side of
    the page under Calculation Based On

  • Changing Your Input
  • If she decides to change some of her deductions,
    she must click on her BACK BROWSER button.
  • WARNING
  • Do Not Click on The New Calculations Button on
    the Paycheck Calculator Results Screen. If she
    does, she will clear the entire form and will
    have to start over.
