WHERE The property is on the Contrada Sessana
piccola and Maresca, just 4km from Ostuni, 10 km
from the Adriatic coast and 40 km from the Ionian
coast. Ostuni is known as the White City la
Città Bianca for the bright white colour of the
buildings and of the churches that make up the
famous historic centre. The beaches are among
the best on the Peninsula and the spectacular
Valle dItria surrounds this idyllic corner of
Puglia. The property is situated in the quiet
countryside and is surrounded by spectacular
ancient olive trees and characteristic
Trulli. Trulli are constructed of stone and are
enigmatic and unique and to this area of Puglia.
The nearby town of Alberobello, has been declared
as a World Heritage Site by Unesco because of its
unique concentration of Trulli. The beaches
nearby offer the opportunity to be amongst other
people to enjoy various activities and
watersports or alternatively, remote quiet
beaches can also easily be found. The food and
wine of Puglia offers you some of the best
quality to be found in Italy and the area of
Ostuni is particularly well known for its

Property Details The properties are surrounded
by land extending to approximately 10 hectares
and they are composed of - A Masseria, dating
back to 1700 - Two Trulli with Lamia - A
self-contained Lamia built of stone - A self

GENERAL NFORMATION
  • The complex makes up a small village in which
    each separate unit is connected by small private
    rural roads serviced by electricity and water.
  • The main entrance offers ample parking and there
    are also other parking areas around each building
    which can be accessed by independent entrances.
  • The land inclues approximately 250 ancient olive
    trees and numerous almond trees, oaks and fruit
    trees.
  • The property is completely enclosed by
    traditional dry stone walling.
  • The excavation (8x16 metres plus 8x8) for a large
    L shaped swimming pool has already been carried
    out.
  • The property is serviced by an artesian well
    which provides water to each separate unit and
    can be used for irrigation of the land. Due to
    the scarcity of water in this region an artesian
    well is an invaluable asset.

  • The patio area is paved with traditional
    chianche (ancient stone tiles) next to the patio
    there is an ample chinche paved covered area
    used in the past as aia.
  • The Masseria is surrunded by a large garden
    whith ancient olive trees , almond trees, carrub
    trees, oaks and nuts trees.

TRULLI AND LAMIA ANNEX Annexed to the rear
of the main Masseria there are two completely
restored Trulli enclosed by traditional dry stone
walling giving a secluded courtyard. The Trulli
offer two bedrooms each with ensuite shower
rooms. Backing on to the two Trulli is a lamia
which again has been fully restored and used as a
bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The Trulli and
Lamia are finished in naturally exposed stone and
both have central heating.

THE LAMIA indipendent self contained lamia
composed of - large living room with fire
place, star vaulted ceilings in exposed natural
stone - large bedroom - bathroom with
shower. The floor is paved with traditional
decorated ancient tiles from the 1800s. La lamia
has connection for air conditioning and heating.

  • THE SECOND MASSERIA
  • The building, dating back to 1600, is situated in
    a panoramic position surranded by terraced land.
    This property provides accomodation of over 350
    m2 and can sleep up to 12 people. It has been
    almost completely restored to a very high
    standard . The property is composed of two floors
    connected by an external staircase.
