Font du Loup Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge 2014
4
The CHATEAU DE LA FONT DU LOUP is a family
vineyard acquired by Jean-Roch Melia who created
a cellar gathering the present vineyard around
it. Since 1977, his grandson Charles Melia and
his wife Françoise, and today their daughter
Anne-Charlotte and their son-in-law Laurent, have
been working to hoist the vineyard into the first
place of the Chateauneuf du Pape Appellation
dOrigine Contrôlée

Cataldi Madonna Pecorino Giulia Terre Aquilane
Bianco IGT 2013
100 Pecorino. The nose is exuberant with fruit
notes of passion fruit and grapefruit. On the
palate, this wine has a pleasant, bright acidity
and a clean, full body, making it dangerously
easy to finish a glass. This fresh wine is
perfect as an aperitif or as a pairing to fish or
crustaceans.

Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra 2010
10
Clerico Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra 2010.Good
full red. Liqueur-like plum and black cherry on
the nose. Then fine-grained and classy but
tightly wound, showing utterly primary flavors of
cherry, red berries and menthol. There's no way
into this extremely backward wine today. But it
has the racy acidity and excellent clarity for a
spectacular evolution in bottle. 95 points

Costanti Brunello di Montalcino 2007 (Magnum)
The 2007 Costanti Brunello di Montalcino is more
elegant and less explosive than the Riserva.
Exquisite aromatics meld into layers of
expressive fruit in a Brunello that is
surprisingly crystalline for the vintage. Crushed
rocks, minerals and violets emerge over time,
adding considerable finesse. Always light on its
feet, the 2007 has plenty of vintage character
and fabulous overall balance. 96 points Antonio
Galloni, Vinous

Cataldi Madonna Montepulciano dAbruzzo
Malandrino Rosso DOC 2012
100 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Fermented in cement
tanks with no oak addition, the result is a sharp
and crisp Malandrino which initially shows notes
of sour cherry that evolved to ripe, black
cherry. On the palate, this wine is quite fresh
and dangerously easy to drink while retaining its
complexity and flavour. One of my absolute
favourite wines, full stop! Cataldi Madonna is
one of the very finest estates in Italy. The
wines are varietally expressive, full of
personality and beautifully crafted.

Caronne St Gemme 2012
The grand vin is Château Caronne Ste Gemme, a
classic blend comprising about 60 Cabernet
Sauvignon, 37 Merlot and 3 Petit Verdot from
the Haut-Medoc, although the exact proportions do
vary with the vintage. This classic Bordeaux
always provides excellent value for money.
