Title: He even read me bedtime stories But then some people said

1

Hi everyone its me, Dicey, checking in As you
know, I had a great time in the Naki
and I hated to leave but it was time for
me to move on and see a bit more of the
country. So here I am
2

in Wellington! This is me just after I arrived,
taking a stroll down Oriental Parade.
What a beautiful city!
3

Then I headed up to the Mount Victoria
lookout. The harbour views were amazing,
and while I was up there I met a
really nice man called mj. We became good
friends.
4

5

We went back to the lookout at night to see the
lights
He took me out for a nice dinner
He even read me bedtime stories!
6

But then some people said that he wasnt such a
nice man after all.
7

8

After that I couldnt hang out
with my friend anymore,
so I
went off on my own the next day
to do some sightseeing.
9

I took the cable car down to Lambton Quay
10

and then I walked across to parliament.
11

By that time I was ready for a coffee
so I went and checked out the café scene down
Courtenay Place. I was feeling a little bit
conspicuous and didnt really think I was
blending in with the Wellington crowd very well,
so I headed down to Cuba Mall and got myself
12

a tattoo
13

a piercing
14

and a Mohawk.
15

The nice hairdresser lady invited me along to a
party on Friday night.
We played a drinking game called Mexican where
you had to throw these funny little cube things
with dots on each side. If you got a two and a
one you had to drink lots of beer. For some
reason everyone thought Id be really
good at that game
16

but it turned out I wasnt.
17

I dont remember much after that
but Im pretty sure I did something to upset
some of the other guests at the party.
18

19

Like I said, I dont remember much after that.
20
Well you cant go to Wellington without catching
a game at the cake tin, so on Saturday afternoon
I went down to the stadium to support the mighty
Hurricanes
21

and I had some spare time afterwards so I hung
out with some of the guys in the team.
22

On Saturday night I went to the Theatre to see
the Royal NZ Ballet perform. After the show I
went backstage and asked them for some tips, as I
was planning to audition for NZ Idol and I needed
to brush up on my dance moves. They said I could
go along to their rehearsal with the NZ Symphony
Orchestra the next day if I wanted to.
23

After the ballet I went into town for a few
drinks and a game of pool.
24

The buskers were really friendly
25

but the bouncers werent.
26

So I had a ride on
the bungy rocket and then grabbed a burger and
went home.
27

On Sunday I got up bright and early and went to a
place called Te Papa, which is the National
Museum of New Zealand.
28

Then it was time for me to go to rehearsal.
29

30

31

The rehearsal went so well that on Sunday evening
I had to go to Avalon Studios and help out on the
judging panel

33

Now its funny but for some reason I seem to have
become quite well known here in Wellington. So
then I spent some time meeting people that wanted
to talk with me about my adventures here so far
34

Polly and Grant on ZM.
35

Steve, Evie and Astar on the Good Morning Show
36

and even Her Worship the Mayor of Wellington,
Kerry Prendergast
37

So now my time here in the nations capital has
all too soon come to an end but what a
week! Now where to from here?
38

shall I catch a ferry across Cook Strait?
39

or a train through the Wairarapa?
40

or maybe hitch a ride up the coast?
41

Who knows? (P.S. I did end up auditioning for
NZ Idol)
42

Frankie was blown away by my incredible dance
routine (he thought my moonwalk looked
particularly polished)
43

Unfortunately I cant sing a note.
44

P.P.S. Did I tell you I also met the Prime
Minister of Vietnam?
45

But thats another story
