Gods and Goddesses
The Egyptians worshipped many Gods and Goddesses
such as- Amun, Unibus, Aten, Bes Geb, Hapi,
Hathor, Isis, Khepri, Nephthys, Nun, Nut, Osiris,
ptah, Ra, Sekhmet, Seshat, Seth.

Gods and Goddesses
The king of the gods was Amun. The Egyptians
carved great big grit statues of the pharoah
which were under the protection of Amun.
Amun was human headed and represented the ram. He
identified with Re.

grounds at Abydos. Apis- Memphis bull god
representing a combination of Ptah, Osiris and
Socharis. Ptah- human headed a memphis
creator-god specially connected with metal
working. Osiris- Human headed, combination of two
gods connected with agriculture and the dead. Re-
Falcon-headed sun-god of Heliopolis. Set-
Pig-headed god of evil and darkness. Hapi- Human
headed god of the river Nile.

These are canopic jars where the insides of rich
people were kept. It was thought that the gods
would look after the organs so that the person
would go to the after life with them safely.
