Compound Adjectives
When you have a compound Adjective before a noun
or pronoun, it is to be hyphenated. Ex. Always
abide by the 65-mile-an-hour speed limit. When
it comes after, it is not to be hyphenated. Ex.
The speed limit to abide is 65 miles an hour.

Words beginning with ex (meaning former) and
self are hyphenated those beginning with pre,

Numbers 21-99 are hyphenated when the appear in
word form. I am twenty-one years
