Background

• Prevalence of CRF31_BC was estimated focusing
  exclusively on the PR/RT regions
• No studies concerning an extensive number of
  temporal samples
• Estimation of Tmrca of CRF31_BC about 1988
  (1967-1998) was previously based on samples
  collected in a short period of time (4 years).

Objective

• To investigate a temporal trend of CRF31_BC and
  URF_BCs in Porto Alegre, Brazil as well as to
  re-estimate the emergence of CRF31_BC in this
  region.
