Tarynn Daugherty, a senior in the health science
program at the Ohio County ATC was awarded the
Outstanding Student Achievement Award on December
11, 2002 during the 20th Annual Awards of
Excellence and Recognition ceremony held in
Frankfort. Tarynn serves as senior class
president, president of the National Honor
Society and vice-president of HOSA. Her honors
and awards include 2002 Governors Scholar,
2002 Health Sciences Academic Award and 2002
National High School Honor Roll. She is active
in Beta Club, serves as yearbook editor and is an
assistant coach for Special Olympics KY
Cheerleading. I dont do this work and spend all
this time to be recognized. I do it because its
crucial to my future, to developing my leadership
skills, and to becoming a better human being,
she says. Tarynn is a dedicated student who
works tirelessly at her schoolwork and the skills
related to it, says Carla Wallace, Ohio Co. ATC
health science instructor. Health technology is
a field that requires hard work, responsibility,
and competency. Tarynn possess all these
traits.
