To many people the month of February means
Valentine cards, flowers, candy, and whispers of
romantic love between a man and a woman. But
there is another love, a deeper love. Valentines
Day can be a reminder of it. Its the love that
comes from the Love of God. Its the kind of love
that we in turn should have for the brethren.

• WHO ARE WE AS CHILDREN OF GOD TO LOVE?
  (Mat.543-44)
• The Scribes and Pharisees interpreted You shall
  love your enemies (Lev.1918) to mean Those only
  to who you look upon as friends.
• This infers they were willing to practice what
  God never said and hate your enemy.
• By looking on the surface only, you can make
  Scripture say anything you want, and many do.

• IT IS NATURAL FOR MAN OT LOVE HIS FRIENDS
• That which is natural God needs not command us to
  do.
• However, He commands us to love someone in two
  different areas
• Husbands are to love their wives (Eph.525
  Col.319).
• We are to love our enemies (Mat.544).
• Jesus said, Love your enemies.
• He didnt say Tolerate, endure, bear, suffer,
  avoid, or even like your enemies.

• WE ARE REWARDED FOR LOVING THE UNLOVING
  (Mat.511)
• We can pray for those who revile and persecute
  us.
• Even if we are mistreated for our trust in
  Christ, we dont retaliate in kind Jesus
  didnt.
• Though men are so bad and carry on so badly
  toward us Yet we are still to love them.
• There are three reasons why we are to love those
  who treat us badly.
• They are Gods creation Who Jesus died for.
• Can you witness to one you hate? Jonah tried.
• God keeps us here after salvation, to witness.

• WE ARE REWARDED FOR LOVING THE UNLOVING
  (Mat.511)
• Love doesnt drive people away.
• Hate drives people away.
• Love wins people.
• Love draws men and women into the outstretched
  arms of the Savior.
• Hate makes people despise the Christ we claim.

• WE ARE TO REACH PEOPLE WITH THE LOVE OF GOD
  (John 316)
• I was part of that loved world long before I
  became a lover of God You were too.
• God loves us He always has.
• Who does He send back into the world He loves?
  You and me.
• WE are to help bring the world to a place of
  responsiveness and desire for the One who loved
  us first.
