  • Summary and Outlook

Jet algorithm
  • Questions from last time
  • How to treat saturation? Answer If the 4x4
cluster contains a saturated element then the
saturation bit in the ROI vector is set.
  • Should the local maximum finding take saturations
    into consideration? Answer No.
  • Changes have been implemented.
  • Started to update the JEM specification

Jet algorithm
  • Initial tests with FCAL handling was made at RAL.
    The design worked as expected.
  • We now have an algorithm which we believe is
correct, we just have to make some test with high
statistics in the current FPGA. Some preparations
    have been made
  • My version of the jet algorithm in C can be
    found at the following location
  • http//www.sysf.physto.se/attila/ATLAS/JEM/JET_FP
    GA_JEM-1.0/Software/jetverify/src/jet.cpp

Jet-FPGA
  • To reduce the total latency, by using faster
input and output methods, new test designs have
    been created.
  • There is absolutely no problem from the synthesis
    point of view.
  • However, we havent been able to test them yet.
It needs to be tested with the CMM.
  • More delay scans with the input must be done.
  • FCAL mapping needs to be sorted out, with help of
    the cabling documentation. ?

6
Summary and Outlook
  • Update the JEM specification.
  • Make jet tests with high statistics.
  • Work on latency reduction.
  • FCAL mapping needs to be sorted out.
