CORE activities in Central Asia Since 2002, CORE
has undertaken projects in all the Central Asian
states except Turkmenistan and has engaged in
co-operation with Central Asia experts.   COREs
most prominent project in Central Asia involves
mediating in a peacebuilding dialogue between
moderate Islamists and secular forces. Between
2001 and 2003, this project took place in
Tajikistan, since 2007/2008 it has been extended
to the regional level.
