- Three kinds of NC Membership
- Full NC participates in IEC any work and voting
- Associate helps countries participate in IEC
affairs at reduced expense and with limited
rights - Pre-Associate introduces potential future
members to the world of the IEC. Limited expense
no voting rights - IEC also recently has started an IEC Affiliate
Country Forum, as part of the implementation of
the extension of the IEC family proposal
approved by the CB and Council

6IEC and CANENA
- The IEC CANENA Agreement provides for data
availability and representative attendance at
their respective Council meetings - The Agreement also mentions CANENA activities in
support of IEC Standards. IEC is following the
progress of CANENA members adopting and using IEC
standards - IEC is willing help CANENA in working with the
IEC National Committees within the CANENA member
countries

- IEC is ready to put on seminars on standards or
workshops on standards development in the
Americas Region, in Cooperation with CANENA -
- IEC Officers and Central Office Staff are
willing to help in any way we can, but CANENA
members actively promoting the IEC in the
Americas needs to be evident.
