What The Council Did in its First Year

• Developed a list of initial priorities
• Convened a statewide collaborative body and
  adopted a Charter to provide guidance
• Formed a Homeland Security ad-hoc subcommittee to
  work with SSCOT to identify GIS needs, priorities
  and policy issues
• Launched the Regional Subcommittee, which
  developed a procedure for designating regional
  GIS Councils
