  • The MiniCons are open top, therefore a large
sheet of plastic or a waterproof groundsheet will
be required to cover the contents, extending down
the sides and ends of the equipment inside the
container to protect the contents as much as
    possible from the weather.
  • Troops will be issued with Stick On labels on
which will be written their destination and Troop
    Number (Subcamp/Site No),
  • Will be provided to the Troop Leader at the point
of packing on the day (The Riverland and South

Transport - Equipment
AJ2010 22nd Australian Jamboree
  • Will our equipment fit?
  • Collate all the Troop Equipment in one secure
    place, ie. A Scout Hall,
  • Do a Dummy Pack to the INTERNAL dimensions of
    the Minicon
  • 1) in a corner of the hall, mark out on the
floor, the INTERNAL width and length of the
    Minicon,
  • 2) mark the INTERNAL height up the two walls
(which will be one side and end of the
    Minicon,
  • 3) pack the troop equipment into the area
marked out. You may have to do a couple of
trial packs to determine the best option for
fitting the most equipment into the space
    available.
  • Put Flat items on the bottom, ie. trestle
tables and bench seats, followed by heavy items
such as BBQs (It is important to put the heavy
items on the bottom to ensure stability when
    transported.
  • Long items such as tent ridgepoles will have to
be sleeved in order to fit them in the Minicon.
