9SMPF Premature Flexi Cease / Charging
- Two problems have cause the early introduction of
Flexi Cease principals and associated charges for
SMPF - Synchronised Cease cease of NB service triggers
BB Cease - Planned to be switched on post Flexi Cease
- Deployed prior to Flexi Cease but was
unfortunately switched on in error - Resulted in 500 circuits, spread across most CPs,
tagged as LIJs - Switched on 3rd July and off on 16th August 2008
- Will cause charges to be raised against CP when
ties are reused - Flexi Cease FLOW exclusion table
- Inclusion in FLOW table switches Flexi Cease off
Proxy CP excluded to enable testing - One CP had details entered incorrectly, resulted
in Flexi Cease being switched on. - Switched on 26th April and corrected on 22nd
August - Approximately 10k assets were Flexi Ceased with
jumpers left in - Will cause charges to be raised against CP when
ties are reused - For both of these the introduction of R900 has
now started the billing for the removal of Left
In Jumpers. Openreach did not expect to encounter
LIJs prior to launch.
10SMPF Premature Flexi Cease / Charging
- For both of these problems Openreach will take a
snapshot of LIJ inventory at 8.00am on 8th
September and share the individual lists with
each CP. - On each monthly billing run Openreach will check
the charges for LIJ removal and will credit CPs
for charges for LIJs that are raised from this
inventory. - Openreach will also update the inventory monthly
to reflect additional activity that could have
changed the tie pair status - After 6 months Openreach will review the
position.
11Tip Pair Utilisation Report
- The Tie Pair Utilisation Report allows CPs to
interrogate their inventory and run reports on
their Tie Pairs. - Allowing identification of a given tie pair
status as either in use, spare or faulty.
Also with the introduction of Flex Cease LIJ
(left in Jumper). - For MPF circuits this TPUR since Release 900 now
excluded all MPF assets with an active open
order. These re-appear on order closure.
