    (meet 34 CFR 300.153(b) standards ), not
    informal phone calls or letters, notes, parent
    expressed concerns
  • 9. Complaints withdrawn or dismissed must first
    be written state complaints (withdrawn means
    by the complainant and dismissed means
    otherwise resolved)
  • 8. Unlike some other collections, rows and
    columns dont necessarily add up

Error Checking
  • Mathematically impossible values the
    CADRE/Westat-DAC error checker, if you use it,
    should ensure that you pass this review.
  • Unlikely values unusual changes from year to
    year (e.g., a tripling in pending hearings,
    precipitous drop in complaints filed)
  • The exact rules to be applied by Westat-DAC to
    identify potential errors (beyond definitions)
    are in development.
