Skip Logic Updates Effective 4/1/07
  • Skip-logic potentially impacting validation
    scores.
  • Hospitals failed CDAC validation due to a
mismatch in a parent question of an algorithm.
  • CMS advised Vendors to consider allowing their
clients to answer all child fields regardless of
    the selected parent field response.
  • Abstractors can decide to abstract the additional
    fields or enter UTD.
  • All values selected by the client including "UTD"
will be submitted to CMS, however CMS will not
utilize any data element excluded by the
    algorithms.
