• Commission Decision of 20 February 2008 setting
  up the organisational structures for the European
  Network for Rural Development
• Specific committee for the Leader axis
• Possibility to propose setting up of working
  groups with particular interest for Leader

Contractual support for the Contact Point for the
European Network for Rural Development

• Timing takes into account Member states are to
  set up national networks by the end of 2008
• Evaluation committee is currently assessing 3
  tender offers received for Technical and
  Administrative Assistance
• Objective timing contract launch early July
  effective start of activity early Sept
• Contract duration 1 year, renewable up to 6
  times
• Team permanent non permanent 27 FTE posts

  should more take into account activities and
  available information on national level
• Goal put emphasis on bottom up stream of
  information and cooperate on a basis of
  complementarity and subsidiarity
• National level Commission has foreseen resources
  on Contact Points level and expects NNUs to
  designate a contact person available for active
  participation in this process
