Physical Description
  • Chimps have black or brown fur all over their
    bodies except for their face, ear, hands and
    feet.
  • Males can weigh up to 120 pounds and females are
    smaller and weigh up to 85 pounds.
  • Chimps do not have a tail.

Habitat
  • Chimps live in 21 African countries in west and
    central Africa.
  • They live in humid rain forest along the
    equator.
  • They also live in grass lands and woodlands where
    they spend a lot of time in trees.

Food and diet
  • It is omnivorous.
  • They eat termites, baboons, pigs, monkeys and
    rodents.
  • They also eat plants ,fruit seeds, and nuts.

Predators
  • People are cutting down the trees and destroying
    their habitat, so people are predators of the
    chimp.
  • The chimpanzee is poached by people and their
    numbers are decreasing.
