• Chimps are black with a white spot by their
  bottom.
• Chimps weigh up to 120 pounds.
• They are 5 feet tall.
• Chimps have a bare nose.
• Did you know chimps have no tails?

Habitat

• Chimps live in Central and Western Africa.
• Most chimps live in warm, rainy forests.
• Chimps prefer hot tropical forests.
• They like grasslands, too.

Diet

• Some chimps eat up to 4 hours a day.
• They are omnivores.
• Chimps eat nuts, berries, insects, leaves, wild
  pigs, monkeys, and any kind of fruit.
• Here is an interesting way chimps get food they
  get a nut put it on a rock take another rock and
  smash it on the rock.

Babies

• Baby chimps weigh about 4 pounds at birth.
• Firstborns get milk from their mom.
• They are ready to leave their mother when they
  are 4 years old.
• Chimps become an adult in their teens.
