Fuels Program (AFP) promotes the use of
alternative transportation fuels in Texas through
demonstrating their positive environmental
impact, technical feasibility, and energy
efficiency. Originally designed to assist state
agencies under legislative mandate to operate a
percentage of their fleets on alternative fuels,
the program is currently more inclusive.
lt/Pgt ltPgtProgram initiatives include providing
administrative support for the Clean Cities
program, financial assistance in developing a
secondary school course curriculum in energy
basics and alternative fuels, and funding for a
training and certification program to educate
mechanics on the technical aspects of alternative
fuel vehicles. lt/Pgt ltPgtThe United States
Department of Energy established theltBgt Clean
Cities Programlt/Bgt as a locally based
public/private alliance to expand the use of
alternative fuels to gasoline and diesel fuel.
The Alternative Fuels Program is supporting the
Clean Cities initiative by helping to fund Clean
Cities Coordinator positions for Dallas/Fort
Worth, Houston/Galveston, Corpus Christi, El

aredo -The Laredo Clean Cities Coalition
conducted a very successful quotMedia Awareness
Dayquot on November 11, 1998. This project
provided media coverage from six local television
and radio stations for the Coalition showcasing
local alternative fuel providers, alternative

was done in conjunction with 90 local area high
school students who participated in the event.

  • Go to Tools gt Database Utilities gt Compact
    Database
  • Database to Compact From box appears
  • Navigate to Seco_app.mdb
  • Click Compact button
  • Database to Compact To box appears
  • navigate, and/or rename the database to
    seco_app2.mdb
  • Click Save
  • REPEAT procedure with Seco.mdb
