Imprinting Magnetic Domains
  • Ferromagnet-Antiferromagnet (FM-AF) bilayer
    (Ni-FeF2)
  • Finite remanent magnetization MR state, i.e. a
    particular ferromagnetic domain configuration is
    prepared.
  • The sample is zero field cooled in this state
    below the AF transition temperature, TN ? 78K.
  • Domain structure of the FM is imprinted into the
    AF.
  • FM magnetization loop splits into two parts
    corresponding to the domains with opposite
    magnetization directions shifted to the negative
    -HEB, and the positive HEB field.
