Overview
  • Established in 1993 via a Department of Science
    Technology grant to the University of the
    Philippines (UP)
  • Re-launched in 2000 through a UP- Ayala
    Foundation collaboration on a parcel of 5
    hectares of land donated by UP in its Science
    Technology Parks South sector
  • The TBI is located in what is now called UP-Ayala
    Techno Park, a Philippine Economic Zone Authority
    (PEZA) registered Information Technology zone
    in Diliman, Quezon City, a suburb of Manila

Current Status
  • TBI consists of a 520 square meter building with
    8 tenant-locators
  • Plan for an expanded facility to offer more space
    is yet to be implemented
  • It is currently managed through a Steering
    Committee and a Project Management Team

    (SHARED Asia Project)
  • The Center for Economic Policy Research has
    been designated as the Asian focal point for
    Scientist for Health Research and Research for
    Development (SHARED), a web-based knowledge
    management approach designed to foster networking
    among health scientists in developing and
    developed regions.
  • The Center is in partnership with UP Manila
    Information System, the Philippine General
    Hospital, the National Institute of Health and
