Why EPHE Network Exists
  • There are health educators through out the nation
    with an interest in emergency preparedness and
    response
  • To support health educators in preparing for and
    responding to public health emergency events
  • Provide a two-way communication system to allow
    collaboration between health educators and
    subject matter experts on emergency preparedness
    and response topics

Emergency Public Health Education (EPHE) Network
  • Receive public health emergency alerts that are
    sent out by CDCs Emergency Communication System
    (ECS)
  • GovD
  • Participate on quarterly calls (CHES credits), as
    well as conference calls in the event of a public
    health emergency
  • Receive notification of relevant resources,
    training events and educational opportunities to
    enhance knowledge and skills in emergency
    response
  • May be called upon to share knowledge, skills,
    and experience with other public health
    professionals
