  • It looked more beautiful that I thought it would
    be.

Metamorphosis
  • I start young, a 12-legged creature,
  • and of course, they notice my features.
  • I dont like the way that I look,
  • so Im going to flip like a book.
  • I go into a little cocoon,
  • and I dont want to leave.
  • Very soon Im finally done,
  • as time flew by
  • I have become a beautiful butterfly.

CHANGES
  • Change
  • Life changes like gears in automobiles
  • Change is good
  • Change is for the better
  • For the good you can form
  • Into someone good
  • Change is good
  • though it can be bad
  • Not enough experience
  • and life can be a drag

11
  • Change can form like a worm in a cocoon
  • when your fully grown you can
  • Look and feel good
  • So when you develop to your best
  • you can be on your own
  • Away from the rest
  • When you look at life, it will remind you
  • the more good you do the better the change
  • And release you like the butterfly from the
    cocoon.
  • by Bernard Ramirez

12
New Found Beauty
  • Start so simple,
  • start carefree.
  • Full of wonder,
  • full of glee.
  • Crawling around
  • this confusing world.
  • Some are boys,
  • some are girls.
  • Growing stronger,
  • learning more.

13
  • Find new things,
  • new things will bore.
  • Spend dark times,
  • locked inside.
  • Searching for something,
  • in themselves to hide.
  • Still so lost,
  • inside their minds.
  • Inside their cocoons,
  • so dark, so kind.
  • Breaking free,
  • a new found self.
  • A new found beauty,
  • inside ourself.
  • by
    Erica Benware

A World Where -
  • My cocoon was home for many years.
  • A home where my parents nurtured and fed me.
  • A home where I had no financial responsibilities.
  • Now crack, crack, crack.
  • The time has come.
  • I am emerging from the cocoon from which I was
    raised and grown.
  • Off on my own to another place.
  • I sit and dry my wings off.
  • I tear and say good-bye to my parents.

16
  • Now I say hello to a brand new world.
  • A world where I find my own place to live.
  • A world where I buy my own food.
  • A world where I pay my own bills.
  • A world where I fly away from my parents and into
    my own life.
  • I am a butterfly broken free from its cocoon.
  • Im stepping out in a world unknown.
  • Im experiencing life itself.
  • by Melissa
    Cook

17
Butterflies and Teenagers
  • The two hearts beat as one
  • If I dont break free I will be done
  • Leaving home is a big one for me
  • But I wouldnt want anyone I know to see
  • Just like leaving a cocoon
  • I want to float away in a big balloon
  • With all the pain you put me through
  • And you dont even have a single clue
  • Thats what I would only do
  • Just to break free from all of you.
  • by
    Kaycee Colen

18
Fly, Fly, Fly
  • The form of life comes from the teenage soul.
  • Love and energy can become a strong impact on
    life
  • Dont turn around when you think its rough keep
    going
  • Growing is stepping into a bigger world
  • Life is like a butterfly coming out of its cocoon
    to explore the world.

19
  • Energy is from the sun, which brings us into
    life.
  • A young heart grows into a wonderful soul.
  • 100 years later, you can be a new
  • Butterfly out of its cocoon
  • To become free of energy and power
  • is to be a butterfly and fly away.
  • Be free
  • and fly, fly, fly .. away.
  • by Felicia

20
Mystery
  • Life is a mystery that nobody knows how to solve
    it.
  • But like butterflies and teenagers we both want
    to experience it.
  • We both go through different changes in life.
  • Such as growing up finding love and to start a
    new better life.
  • The difference in the inside is not much, just if
you look at the physical from a teenager to a
    beautiful butterfly things would change.
  • Butterflies and teenagers share one common thing
  • that I called the circle of life.
  • by
    Genesis Quintana

21
Butterflies and Teenagers II
  • We are both curious to look whats around us.
  • Butterflies and teenagers cant help their
    curiosity.
  • Trying new things to improve their lives.
  • Butterflies and teenagers like to socialize.
  • Butterflies unlikely teenagers have a minimum
    life limit.
  • We teenagers face life changes more than
    butterflies do.
  • by Tom Horne

22
Caterpillar to Butterfly as- Teen to Adult
  • Caterpillars are turning into butterflies
  • As teens are turning into adults
  • Too big to fit in a cocoon
  • Too large for a single teen room
  • Trying to break free to ride with the wind
  • As teens are struggling to find their special
    within
  • The burst of motion breaks them free
  • As teens use momentum for lifelong dreams.
