Proactive
Vs.
  • Being proactive is like being water. Shake it up
    as much as you like, but it will not fizz up and
    pour out of the container.
  • The exact opposite of proactive is reactive.
    Reactivity is like soda. The more you shake it
    up, it will explode sooner or later.
  • Think about it. Someone pushes you in the hall
    and constantly steals your Twinkies. If you be
    reactive, you give them the exact reaction this
    person wants anger and frustration. If you be
    proactive, then you make the enemy get frustrated
    and eventually leave to bully someone else.
  • Plus if you be proactive, then you have a lot
    more allies than enemies! Would that be better
    than having more enemies than friends? Of course!

it pays to be proactive
  • Proactive people are a different breed. Proactive
    people
  • Are not easily offended
  • Take responsibility for their choices
  • Think before they act
  • Bounce back when something bad happens
  • Always find a way to make it happen
  • Focus on things they can do something about, and
    dont worry about things they cant

What we can Control
  • We cannot control everything that happens to us,
    but we CAN control how we react to things.
  • Dont keep worrying about things that you cant
    control. Focus on the things that you can do.
  • The things you can control are your responses,
    choices, yourselves, and your attitude.

Victimitis
  • What is victimitis? It can be one of the worst
    things. It can be quite contagious.
  • Its when someone believes that everyone has it
    in for them and that the world owes them
    something.
  • This is a trait that some reactive people can
    have.

Push Pause
  • When someone is rude to you, or youre just
    upset, what do you do?
  • The answer is to just push pause ( the button
    located in the middle of your forehead).
  • If you can learn to pause, get control, and
    think about how you want to respond, youll make
    smarter choices.

Power Tools
  • Power tools are a great thing. You can make good
    decisions if you think about them. Here they are
  • Self-awareness- I can stand apart from myself and
    observe my thoughts and actions.
  • Conscience- I can listen to my inner voice to
    know right from wrong
  • Imagination- I can envision new possibilities
  • Willpower- I have the power to choose

Turn setbacks into triumphs
  • When something bad happens, dont keep thinking
    about things youve lost think about the stuff
    you still have.
