  the bout
• The appellants Herald announces to the
  spectators that a defendant has been selected and
  announces the weapons of choice

• They ensure that the harness, helm is ready for
  combat for their respective combatant and then
  exit the lists
• The King of Arms enquire the combatants as to
  their readiness to begin and if so, commands the
  start of the bout
