What is the Best Time to Take BCAA and Whey
Protein
  • Protein supplements have become a popular product
in the market. Many people are having protein
shakes daily and there are different kinds like
    unflavoured and flavoured (chocolate, vanilla,
strawberry, pista, etc.) It is said that
flavoured options have more additives than
    unflavoured ones.

Can We Take BCAA and Whey Protein Together?
  • You can take both whey protein and BCAA together.
It wont cause any harm. In fact these days,
there are many protein powders with BCAA in
Indian market. BCAA stands for Branched Chain
Amino Acid and there are three important BCAAs
Valine, Leucine and Isoleucine. They are grouped
together since they have molecular structure that
branches to one side. Whey Protein is the protein
that is got from milk. The other protein is
casein. Whey protein is of three types.
  • Whey Concentrate It is formed when liquid whey
undergoes microfiltration. It consists of 70-80
protein and is cheaper compared to the other
    types.
  • Whey Isolate It is formed when whey concentrate
undergoes further processing. It has 90 protein.
It is costlier than concentrate. It has
relatively lesser amounts of fats and sugar in it
    than concentrate.

3
  • Whey Hydrolysate When the isolate is processed,
then whey hydrolysate is formed. This is the
costliest type since it is highly processed and
in pre-digested form. It is easy for the body to
    absorb.
  • There are many whey protein supplements that
include BCAA as well. You can read the
ingredients before buying them. There are
different kinds of proteins whey protein, pea
protein, rice protein, quinoa protein, etc. and
it depends on your choice. Some products contain
fillers, that dont have any nutritional value.
They are added into a product to increase the
    weight. Avoid fillers in products.
