WSU Energy Program Expertise
  • We deliver co-funded technology solutions, Best
    Practice trainings, plant assessments, and
    federal/state leveraged project proposals.
  • Staff of 50, includes 7 P.E.'s and technical
    experts- provide utilities with plant energy
    solutions.
  • Clean, Renewable energy expertise.
  • Clearinghouse Services with Solutions EERE
    Information Center, Energy Ideas Clearinghouse,
    and WAPA Clearinghouse.

Team Accomplishments in 2005
  • Catalyzed company co-shared proposals funded with
    state and federal - USDOE, BPA, USDA, USFS,
    State Agencies, IOUs and PUDs, and Oregon
    Energy Trust.
  • Prepared proposals to co-fund energy efficiency
    projects with cos./plants ( i.e.- Eka Chemicals,
    Weyerhaeuser, Boise Paper, et al).
  • 2000 customized solutions provided by
    Clearinghouses to utilities and plants, some with
    significant MW saving impacts.

Recent BestPractices Trainings and Plant
Assessments in 2005
  • BPA and utilities have become partners delivering
    BestPractices training impacts for NW industrial
    plants, at utility host sites.
  • In collaboration with utility partners, we
    delivered Best Practices trainings for Steam,
    Process Heating, Pumping, Compressed Air, Fan,
    Motors Systems.
  • 13 BestPractices systems trainings delivered- 500
    attendees, 40 attendees per session representing
    150 plants.
  • Completed 3 plant assessments at ConAgra, Simplot
    and Weyerhaeuser facilities.
  • Helped to arrange for 10 new Save Energy Now
    plant assessments at large pulppaper, food
    processing and high tech manufacturing plants in
    the NW.
  • Key training partners BPA, Utilities, USDOE,
    Idaho Power, ID Energy Division and the IEA.
