Before you pay for an article
  • Check the sources you have access to as a UF
    faculty/staff/student

To get a print article/chapter/book (or a copy
of it)
  • Find the nearest library that holds the journal
    issue/book and call to check on your
    borrowing/copying options.
  • Order a copy through UF HSCLs Interlibrary Loan

1. Activate your GatorOne card (for EZProxy in
Step 2)
2. Use GatorLink dialup (), EZ Proxy or VPN
(Virtual Personal Network) to connect to the
Internet

Catalog
Click on either link through the Health Science
Library homepage at http//www.library.health.ufl
.edu.

For access to a Journal
Click on Journals/Serials. Type full journal
title in Browse Organized Lists box. (Abbreviated
titles dont always work.) Hit Enter on your
keyboard or click Go.

Online available -- Click on journal title with
(Online) to access.

Click hyperlink across from word Link
You may have to type in beginning of journal
title, then click on Journal icon.
Click checkbox, then Perform Search button.

Click on Display, then on Ovid Full-Text for
electronic access

Then scroll to your article title/ page and
click on PDF (to print out) or Full Text (to read
onscreen.)

for all results on page, change the pull-down
above your results list next to Display to

If you cant find electronic, check libraries in
your area through UFs WorldCat database

Click Display All libraries for complete list.
Look for the library nearest you. And check its
holdings (what volumes/years are on its shelves)
for the issue you want.

If ALL of these fail but you need the article
youll need to order it through UF HSCL or your
local librarys Document Delivery or Interlibrary
Loan (and pay for it.)
Or try Googling author surname distinctive
title words!
